Escape Artist

Will and I just knew this day was coming soon. I will tell this story briefly but to hear it first hand you will have to talk to Will.

This past Wednesday I was out for the evening volunteering. Will said Sam seemed sleepy and he didn't eat much for dinner so he got him ready for bed a little early- bath, book, then bed. Sam carried on for a while chatting to himself and finally got really upset. So Will went back into his room and rock him for a few minutes. Sam seemed satisfied by this and Will left. In the mean time, Will is returning a phone call for work. While he was leaving the message, he sees Lexi's ears perk up. He didn't think much of it and finished his message. Then he thought he should go check on Sam because it was after 8 and he thought he heard him say, "big bear." As he got up from the office chair (the room next to Sam's), Sam came walking around the corner holding big bear. Oh yes, he is climbing out of his crib and doing it so quietly. He did it again this morning so we asked him to reenact it for us on video.

I couldn't get it to download on the blog so go to this website to view the video:

Needless to say, we will be converting his crib to a toddler bed this weekend to avoid any accidental falls.
